Extraction Class near the Mall of America December 7, 2013

Dental Developmental Seminars along with American Dental Accessories will be having a One Day Hands On Extraction Class on Saturday December 7, 2013 in Minneapolis, Minnesota near the Mall of America. This class will discuss how to use a 301 elevator, how to use a crane pick, how to surgically remove teeth, how to flap and suture after an extraction. There will be a Hands On component using Pig Heads.

This class is accepted for Eight (8) hours of CE by the Academy of General Dentistry.

Hands On Extraction Class Format to be Improved

Dr. Fletcher and I are re-working the Hands On Extraction Class Experience.
Starting with the March 2013 class we are adding a "Planning" stage prior to every extraction.
This will be the time when the student dentist tells us exactly what they plan to do and how long it is going to take.
We want everyone to go home with not only the skills to remove the teeth, but also the knowledge to properly plan their schedules.
That way people will not be rushed and unable to properly determine how long a procedure will take them to preform

We believe that a Pre-Extraction Planning session and then a post-extraction huddle to discuss what went right, wrong, etc. and to see if the student met their time goal or not is essential to improving this class.

I am also reducing some of my lecture slides as we feel that I am being a little too repetitious and that it is making the lecture days run too long. So I have trimmed about 45 minutes off my lecture material. This will allow for more open discussion time on the topics and more bantering between the instructors as to how we differ on approaches to extractions and post op care, but in the end how we are both successful in treating the patient.

Myrtle Beach August 31, 2013 Hands On Extraction Class

There will be a one day Hands On Extraction Class on Saturday, August 31, 2013 in beautiful Myrtle Beach South Carolina.  That is Labor Day Weekend.  The class is AGD Pace approved for eight (8) hours of Continuing Education credits.   We will cover proper technigues to remove teeth.  How to use the 301 elevator and the crane pick.  You will learn how to elevate flaps and suture.   These topics will be covered in the lecture and then will be reinforced durin the Hands On portion of the class on Pig Heads.
The class will be held at the Family Friendly Hampton Inn and Suites located a few miles from the Myrtle Beach International Airport in South Myrtle Beach.
Tuition for the class is $1200 with an early sign up special of $900 if paid by April 1, 2013
